Ingredients
  1. 2lbs stewing beef
  2. 2 cups flour seasoned with salt and pepper
  3. ½ cup vegetable oil
  4. 1 medium white onion diced
  5. 6 stalks of celery chopped small
  6. 2 cups carrots (whole baby or larger chopped pieces)
  7. 2 cups kernel corn
  8. 4 cups water
  9. 2 cups long grain rice
  10. 2 tablespoon garlic
  11. Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. In a frying pan add about a ½ of your oil. Bring medium to high heat. In a mixing bowl place your seasoned flour. Make sure your beef is cut into bite size chunks. Taking a handful of beef at a time toss into the flour mixture. Shake excess flour from the pieces of meet and place into hot oil.
  2. You want the pieces to become brown but not over cooked. Take from oil using a strainer to take off excess oil, place into a Dutch oven. Continue this process until you have all meat cooked.
  3. In the same frying pan now toss in your onions and celery. Slightly cook. Add in your 4 cups of water to deglaze your pan. Pour this into your Dutch oven.
  4. Add your carrots, corn, garlic, salt and pepper and bake at 350 for about an hour.
  5. Add in your rice and follow cooking instruction for the rice.
